The MEI Awards World-wide Product Launch was held in Japan in June, which was in the same period with M-Tech. M-Tech is World's leading exhibition for all kinds of mechanical components and processing technology. The show has been held at Tokyo Big Sight on a grand scale every June. The show attracted a total of 2350 exhibitors and more than 90,000 professional visitors from around the world.

The MEI Awards product launch is located in the west exhibition center. The MEI Awards committee brought the top quality and excellent Chinese products from 21 Chinese suppliers to global buyers with a unique presentation style. What’s more, it provided a good opportunity for global buyers and domestic suppliers to meet face to face.

A total of 24 products from industrial equipment and electrics industries have attracted many international buyers’ attention. Many buyers show great interest to most products. Some Chinese suppliers are also attracted by this fancy booth at the fair. After knowing the MEI contest is a non-profit contest, which aims to select and exhibit the most excellent products to the world, the suppliers are eager to join this competition and present their own strength to the global buyers.

Buyers’ Voice:

Buyers appraised these products from the aspects of quality, innovation, and user experience and they acknowledged that Chinese manufacturing has transformed to quality manufacturing, and even Intelligent manufacturing

As we all know, Japan has an extremely high requirements on product quality. Many Japanese buyers, however, gave high appraisal to these products selected by MEI Awards. For example, Newamstar 80000 BPH Uitra-High-Speed Blowing-Filling-Capping Combiblock, an entirely China-developed machine, has achieved first-class international quality standards. This machine can produce 80000 bottles once on its production line, even had surpassed Japan standards.

Besides quality, innovation is also a key concern from buyers. Hanergy Rollable Thin Film Solar Charger, another China-developed product, is definitely the super star at the booth. The buyer from Ormon  praised this thin solar charger as “amazing”. Compared with traditional chargers, this solar charger is easy to carry, light-weight, and eco-friendly. Its hanger is pretty smart because it enables users to hang the solar charger everywhere. The Ormon buyer admitted that Chinese suppliers have brand-new innovation abilities and would like to find more quality suppliers in China.

Chopstick Master, a tool that common users can make their own chopsticks, enables Japanese buyers to experience hand-making fun. Such interactive products are highly welcomed at the fair. A Japan buyer told us that he would like to purchase Chopstick Master and promote them in scenery spots and restaurants so that tourists could be more satisfied by getting better experience.

Chinese Suppliers’ Feedback:

MEI awards aims to present unknown “Beauty of Made in China” to global buyers, helping Chinese suppliers promoting brand value added. Many Chinese exhibitors at this fair paid a special visit to MEI booth. After checking top quality products listed at the fancy booth, the suppliers were eager to join MEI contest and didn’t want to miss such a great opportunity to present their own top products at a world-class platform. World-wide MEI product launches meant a lot to Chinese products. These product launches brought most brilliant and top quality products which can stand for top Chinese manufacturing.

At present, many Chinese suppliers’ brand awareness has been gradually improving, but they still lack concepts about brand image packaging, product innovation, etc, although Chinese suppliers paid high attention to product certification, product quality and technology. Most products at the M-Tech fair are made according to customers’ drawings so that the design concept is weak. Therefore, some suppliers were worried about their qualification for MEI contest. Design ability is just one of the appraisal aspects for MEI judges. Product quality is also another important factor for appraisal. All of them are welcomed to join this competition.
