MEI Awards World-wide Product Launch – Dubai Station was held in the same period with DUBAI BIG 5 which is the largest and the most influential exhibition in architecture, building materials and services in the Middle East. It is reported that the exhibition has 3,000 exhibitors from 60 countries, of which nearly 1,000 Chinese exhibitors.

The exhibits are mainly distributed in the areas of water and wind, building interior and exterior, special buildings, construction tools and materials, intelligent buildings and technology. The main exhibits from China are sanitary wares (faucets, toilets, bathtubs), wall paper, aluminum rolls, door handles, valves, doors, tiles, table tops and construction adhesives.

Before this show, MEI Awards launched the online special, conducted a wide range of promotion through Made-in-China.com which earns many buyers’ attention. During the show, the outstanding exhibits and cool online panoramic display of MEI Awards also attracted many visitors. MEI Awards totally exhibits 25 excellent products on-site and 150 products online. PVC floor, 3D stainless steel, PPR tube, artificial grass, fire-proof board, faucet, and massage pump are the most popular ones.

Standing on the user's point of view

A Saudi buyer mentioned that if the faucet fitting is not smooth enough, it will be easy to scratch fingers, which will bring a bad experience. He hopes that the manufacturers could pay more attention to the product details. A German engineer suggested that suppliers need to fully understand how the workers use and install the products. Only in this way, the products could solve the users’ problem and show a pleasant using experience.

Need local services

Many buyers care about whether the Chinese companies have the local agents or the local service team, which could make the follow-up installation, maintenance and other work easier.

High-quality and innovative products are more attractive

Lots of buyers are attracted by MEI logo which shows “Manufacturing Excellence and Innovation”. A visitor carefully learnt every product shown on MEI booth, and said that these are the ones he really want!“There is too much information online, but less innovative products which could help us win the market.
